David Johnson
David N. Johnson leads Genesis College & Seminary as Board Chairman and President, overseeing a ministry that provides distance-based, biblically grounded education to 1000’s of incarcerated men and women across America. David's heart for prison ministry was awakened when his younger brother was incarcerated, revealing to him one of our nation's most overlooked mission fields. This personal experience fuels his passion to bring hope, transformation, and second chances to those behind bars through quality theological education.
A retired pastor with 30 years of ministry experience, David is also the Founder and President of Johnson Wealth Management, where he has served clients for over 35 years. He holds multiple financial designations (CFF, RFC, GEPC, CEA) and is an accomplished author of Investing Wisely and co-author of How to Start a House Church; Counseled by God; Your Ministry Matters; and Wounded, Loved, Healed.
David is actively engaged in his community and abroad by serving on the Rotary Foundation Board, Partner 135 Advisory Board, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and Feed My Starving Children. He and his wife Lisa split their time between homes in Verrado, Arizona and Weatherford, Texas, near their three daughters and nine grandchildren.
David is currently leading Genesis toward national accreditation from the Association for Biblical Higher Education. His driving passion remains unchanged: to see lives restored through the power of the gospel, one student at a time.

Fred Bayer
After spending over forty years in the healthcare arena, Fred retired in 2017 and shortly thereafter became involved in the start-up of Genesis. For almost a decade he has worked with a ministry team at the Pima County Jail that brings hope through the good news of Jesus Christ to men and women whose lives have been altered as a result of misguided personal decisions. He recognizes and enthusiastically values the part that Genesis can play in rebuilding the broken and forgotten.

Judy Fry
Judy came to Genesis with a strong background in Information Technology. She developed and honed her considerable knowledge base and skill-set with IBM, and locally with Tucson Medical Center as a project manager for many years. The greatest asset Judy brings to Genesis is her heart for the least of these, demonstrated by taking active roles in both her inner-city church and in her community.
